Manage the various floor finished including carpet, tile, stone and vinyl floor coverings. Coordinate key stakeholders to achieve targets and deadlines.
Microsoft recently unveiled its $134 million state of the art campus in County Dublin. Drawing inspiration from Dublin’s landscape and featuring an expansive central atrium that has a digital waterfall as a centrepiece, the open-plan spaces combine to create a truly unique, inspirational workplace.
Set across a three hectare site that has become home to 2,000 employees from over 72 countries, this contemporary building, designed by RKD architects and delivered by BAM construction, exhibits the latest concepts in healthy building construction whilst embodying the Microsoft flexible workplace culture.
This 35,000m2 office facility incorporates over 25,000m2 of Kingspan Access Floors systems, including a range of medium and heavy grade solutions to meet the different loading requirements of the varied operational areas that include flexible office spaces, five restaurants, a gym wellness centre, and a yoga box, Microsoft Technology Centre, and DreamSpace.
Access floors provide the perfect solution to meet the flexible demands of the open plan “neighbourhoods” that are at the heart of the concept. Bringing a new dimension to collaborative working, these neighbourhoods benefit from easy-access to the under-floor void, where data and power supplies can be re-routed as required to ensure communal workspaces can be reconfigured efficiently.
Ralph Mannion, Kingspan Access Floors Managing Director comments “the work that Cableplan have carried out as part of this development has placed our products at heart of one of the most exciting projects in Dublin over the last three years. The team were recognised by BAM for their Health and Safety performance and they are a real asset to our supply and install network.”
